Lucy Xingwang Dunning (she/her) is a Chinese-Australian, interdisciplinary performer and writer. A graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts (2023), Lucy’s unique experiences as an adoptee and inquisitive nature position her as a natural-born storyteller. Her most recent credits include performing in various roles for Poetry in Action’s International Tour (Australia, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates 2024-25) and as Lucy in ‘The Dragonfly’ as a part of The Old Fitz’s ‘New Works Festival’. Her recent screen credits include Tali ‘Squata Locks’, Audra ‘Untethered’, and Clara ‘For Peanuts’, as well as hero roles in various Triple J music videos. Whilst studying, Lucy played roles including ‘Kurogo’ in Singaporean director Ong Keng Sen’s ‘Sandaime Richard’.
Embarking on her artistic journey at the age of three, Lucy received formal training in acting, dancing, and vocal performance. During her time at NIDA, Lucy honed her craft under the guidance of industry luminaries such as Phillip Quast, Darren Yap, Guy Simon, Les Chantery, Garth Holcombe, and Michael Sheasby. With her diverse range of talents and unwavering dedication, Lucy is poised to make a significant impact in the performing arts.
